Your prints will have white borders when the image size is not exactly the same as the print size. The standard 35mm aspect ratio is 2:3 which is exactly the same as that of a 4"x6" print. 5"x7", 8"x10" and other sizes are not the same aspect ratio and are by default printed with white borders to preserve the full image. You can choose to use the crop checkbox in your shopping cart to crop your photos and not have a white border (see a visual explanation here). Cropping will fit your photo to the print size you select. It will expand the photo slightly to fill up the entire print, then cut off the edges of the image. If you turn this function off you will not lose any of the image, but the print will have white borders.
